A Great Service for Women – Ask the Doctors

This weekend I was asked to photograph an event for a special client. When Spark Plug of People You Need to Know magazine called me up and asked for my help, I knew it was for another worthwhile cause. He puts together several events a year that are aimed toward women in business and how to be a success. His yearly magazine and now his new newspaper, are an important tool for enterprising ladies who are, or want to be, prominent in their field.

This weekend’s event was a little different in that he featured some of Atlanta’s leading medical health ladies, from OB/GYN to dentists to holistic health. Audience members flooded the doctors with questions and walked out with a virtual treasure trove of new and helpful information to keep them and their families healthy.

Professional Glamour Video Shot at the M3 Studio

I’m all about promotion, whether it is for me, for my clients or for any business with whom I h ave a professional relationship. I recently teamed up with Juice Radio to give a lucky winner a free two-hour glamour session through www.M3afterhours.com, a free print, free book and free makeover. We had a clothing designer sponsor the session by providing some of the wardrobe, a custom jewelry designer provide some of the accessories, and a professional video producer film and edit the event. Of course, I was the photographer and photo editor for the event.

This was a really big deal and I’m anxious to see how everything turned out. The winner, J’Zhanel Cole, was a fantastic winner and fell into the role of “model” exceptionally well.

This is one of many contests that will be taking place throughout the year and it is a fantastic opportunity for a business to build a relationship with new customers. Sponsors will receive the rights to display and use the promotional video its in to attract new customers, show their products used in a professional photo shoot, be seen by all registrants along with links and ads, and more. Bob Moffa places 2nd, 3rd and 10th

Several months ago I joined my camera club to compete in the North Georgia Camera Club Council 2010 Shootout at beautiful Berry College. The premise is that each of the twelve clubs photograph five subjects and submit ten photos in each category to the judges. The Cherokee Photo Club, of which I’ve been a member for about five years, fielded about 40 people so we divided up into five groups, each getting one category.

Now, this is my time to gloat. Three of the ten images that my group submitted were mine and they placed 2nd, 3rd and 10th, raking up a ton of points for out group and ensuring a first place finish. Even if I weren’t there we may have won because our talented group showed up all over the leader board.

It’s an honor to be a part of a wonderful photo club. Not only are they talented, but they are a lot of fun to hang out with.

Green Earth Landscaping Services web site by M3 Imagery

M3 Imagery recently launched the new web site for Green Earth Landscaping Services, LLC. Dave and Gert have over 30 years of experience in their field and take a very hands-on approach when it comes to designing a beautiful and relaxing area around your home.

Designing this site was a pleasure because we were able to think “relaxing” and “nature” which allowed us to destress ourselves a bit.

Bikini Season is Almost Here

I’m always looking for ways to make my work more interesting and appealing. Since we create a lot of portraits on canvas, a painted look is something we offer. No two digitally painted portraits ever look the same and there are many techniques I use to achieve these specialized looks.

Here are two versions of a beautiful bride that I photographed and then painted. I’d love feedback as to which you like better:

When displayed on canvas in a big frame, a portrait like this becomes an heirloom that anyone would be proud to pass down from one generation to the next.

With the leftover olives from my previous photo shoot, I invited one of my model friends, Amy Dianne, over to see what we could do. Now I don’t drink so I have no idea what a pretty girl holding a martini is supposed to really look like, but I think it should look something like this.

Are You Ready to Get TOSSed?

For anyone that’s seen me, it should be obvious that I like food. And what’s the best thing about photographing food? You usually get to eat it when done. This past Friday I worked with the people from a new olive brand called “TOSS” to photograph their product. After talking, it’s obvious that these guys know their stuff and they’ve come up with a fantastic product.

Their line consists of martini olives, cocktail onions, stuffed pepperoncinis and good ol’ eattin’ olives. It was hard to photograph these items because they smelled so good! Definitely keep an eye out for these as they’ll be making a splash for sure!

4th of July Celebration!

: Mountain Park Man

This year M3 Imagery was the photographer for the Mountain Park 4th of July celebration. Mountain Park is a really neat community near the studio in Roswell. It’s a quirky little city that feels like it’s in the mountains but it’s not. The people there are very eclectic and very, very nice.

The day started at 10am with patriotic events such as the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem and was followed by a parade where citizens decked out their cars, tractors and motorcycles in the red, white and blue and made sure the whole town was awake. There was a dog parade and show, plenty of hot dogs to eat and fun at the pool. By evening, “Elton John” was performing on stage and the evening ended with a spectacular fireworks display.

My wife, son and I had a great time and were honored to be a part of such a special event.
